COURSES OFFERED

a) Civil Service Preliminary cum Mains (PCM ) Course

This course is intended for degree completed students. Admission to the PCM course will be offered in June and September every year. Admission will be given on the basis of the candidate’s score in the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted in the month of May. Classes for June batch will be from June to April (succeeding year). This Course is held at Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Aluva, Palakkad, Ponnani (ICSR), Kozhikode and Kalliassery sub centres of the Academy.

The fees for PCM course is Rs. 49,200/- (Fees – Rs 40,000/- + GST – Rs 7,200/- + Caution Deposit – Rs. 2,000/).

b) Optional Subject

Classes for the Optional subjects will be held simultaneously with the June and September PCM batches. Optional subjects will be offered only if there are a minimum number of takers for a particular subject. At present Political Science & International Relations, History, Sociology, Geography, Malayalam and Public Administration are some of the optional subjects being offered in the academy.

The fees for the optional subjects is Rs. 11,800/– (Fees Rs 10,000/- + GST Rs.1,800/-).

c) Preliminary cum Mains (PCM ) Course – Weekend Course

This course is intended mainly for working people and college – going students. Students studying in Arts & Science / Professional colleges for undergraduate or postgraduate courses and other candidates including working professionals can seek admission to this course. This course is being offered at Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kottayam, Idukki, Aluva, Palakkad, Ponnani (ICSR), Kozhikode, Kalliassery and Wayanad sub centres. Classes are held on all Sundays, Second Saturdays and other selected public holidays.

The fees for the Course is

Ongoing Degree/PG students – Rs 35,400/- (Fees Rs 30,000/- + GST Rs 5,400/-) – Fee can be paid in 2 installments.
Other students – Rs. 49,200/- (Fees. Rs 40,000/- + GST – Rs 7,200/- + Caution Deposit – Rs. 2,000/ )

d) Civil Service Foundation Course (CSFC)

This course is intended for the students of +1 and +2 classes. Foundation Course classes are held at Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Ponnani (ICSR), Kozhikode, Kalliassery and Kasargod sub centres of the Academy on Sundays. Development of communication skills, General Knowledge, Current Affairs and awareness about the world at large plus basic information on civil services core subjects will form part of the curriculum. Classes will begin in the third week of June and will end in the last week of March.

The fees for the course is Rs. 5900/- (Fees Rs 5000/-+ GST Rs 900/-)

e) Talent Development Course (TDC )

This course is intended for the students of the high school classes (Std VIII, IX &X ) bearing in mind the Academy’s policy “to catch them young and watch them grow”. The course is designed to help the young minds improve their communication skills, General Knowledge, mental ability and awareness about the world around them, so as to equip them to face the challenges in the competitive world. This course is held at Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Ponnani (ICSR), Kozhikode, Kalliassery and Kasargod sub centres of the Academy. Classes for TDC are held once a week on Sundays.

The fees is Rs. 3540/-(Fees- Rs 3000/- + GST Rs 540/- )

f) Online Courses

Kerala State Civil Service Academy offers online course for Prelims-cum-Main (PCM) Weekend, Civil Service Foundation Course (CSFC) and Talent Development Course (TDC ).
