a) Civil Service Preliminary cum Mains Course (PCM )
Admission to the PCM course will be offered twice a year in June and in September. Admission will be given on the basis of the candidate’s score in the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted twice a year in May for the June batch and in August for the September batch. Classes for June batch will be from June to February and from September to May for the September batch. The fees for PCM course is Rs 49,600/- (Fees – Rs 40,000/- + GST – Rs 7,200/- + Flood Cess – Rs.400/- + Caution Deposit – Rs. 2,000/).
b) Optional Subject
Classes for the Optional subjects will be held simultaneously with the June and September PCM batches. Optional subjects will be offered only if there are a minimum number of takers for a particular subject. At present Economics, Political Science & International Relations, History, Sociology, Geography, Malayalam and Public Administration are some of the optional subjects being offered in the academy. c) Mains Adoption Batch
The Mains Adoption Batch will begin immediately after the UPSC Prelims exam is over. Only the syllabus of the Civil Service Main examination will be taught in this batch. There is no entrance test and admission is open to all. The total fees of Rs. 23,600/- (Fees Rs. 20,000+ GST Rs.3,600/-) will have to pay the entire fees at the time of admission. This fee will be refunded to those who pass the Civil Service Preliminary Examination.
d) PCM Weekend Batch
Admission to the Weekend Batch for PCM will also be on the basis of the Common Entrance Test conducted in May for the Regular Batch. Classes will commence from June and will be held on Saturdays and Sundays (except religious holidays) till 30th April. The students of the Weekend Batch are expected to write the Prelims Test Series along with the Regular Batch students. Fees for this course is Rs 49,600/- (Fees Rs 40,000/- + GST Rs 7,200/- + Flood Cess Rs.400/- + Caution Deposit Rs. 2,000/).
e) PCM Evening Batch
The Evening Batch is at present conducted only at Thiruvananthapuram. There will be no CAT for admission to the Evening Batch. Classes for this batch will begin in the first week of June and will end by the last week of April. Class time is from 6 pm to 8 pm from Monday to Saturday. Fees for this course is Rs 49,600/- (Fees Rs 40,000/- + GST Rs 7,200/- + Flood Cess Rs.400/- + Caution Deposit Rs. 2,000/).
f) Prelims Crash Course
KSCSA, Trivandrum conducts a crash course on Civil Services Preliminary Examination. It is normally for forty five days duration and is conducted six days a week from Monday to Saturday in April and May. Fees for this course is Rs 13800 (Fees Rs 10,000/- + GST Rs 1,800/- + Caution Deposit Rs 2,000/- )
g) Three Year Civil Service Course
This course is intended for college – going students. Students studying in Arts & Science / Professional colleges for undergraduate or postgraduate courses can seek admission to this course, which is being offered at KSCSA, Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Muvattupuzha, Palakkad, Ponnani (ICSR), Kozhikode and Kalliassery sub centres. Classes are held on all Sundays and Second Saturdays from 9 am to 4 pm. The integrated PCM will be split into three modules, the first module will be taught in the first year, the second module in the second year and the third module in the third year. Fees for the first year is Rs 13,900/-(Fees Rs 10,000/- + GST Rs 1,800/- + Flood Cess Rs 100/-+ CD Rs 2,000/-), Second Year Rs 17,850/-(Fees Rs 15,000/-+ GST Rs 2,700/- +Flood Cess Rs 150/-) and for the Third year is Rs 17,850/-(Fees Rs 15,000/- + GST Rs 2,700/-+Flood Cess Rs.150/-). An admission fee of Rs. 200/- is also to be paid during the first year.
h) Indian Forest Service (IFoS)
Candidate who have passed degree in science subjects such as Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Geology, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics or a Bachelors degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering are eligible for admission to Indian Forest Service coaching. Admission through the common entrance test.
i) Indian Economic Service (IES)
Candidate those who have Post Graduate in Economics are eligible for admission to this coaching programme. No entrance test. (Fee : 30,000/-)
j) Kerala Administrative Services (KAS)
Admission through the common entrance test. Next course for prelims will be offered as soon as KPSC issues the notification.
k) Civil Service Foundation Course (FC)
This course is intended for the students of +1 and +2 classes. Foundation Course classes are held at all the sub centres of the Academy between 9 am and 1 pm on Sundays. Development of communication skills, General Knowledge, Current Affairs and awareness about the world at large plus basic information on civil services core subjects will form part of the curriculum. Classes will begin in the third week of June and will end in the last week of March. Fees for the course is Rs 5950/- (Fees Rs 5000/-+ GST Rs 900/-+ Flood Cess Rs 50/-)
l) Talent Development Course (TDC )
This course is intended for the students of the high school classes (Std VIII, IX &X ) bearing in mind the Academy’s policy “to catch them young and watch them grow”. The course is designed to help the young minds improve their communication skills, General Knowledge, mental ability and awareness about the world around them, so as to equip them to face the challenges in the competitive world. Classes for TDC are held once a week on Sundays, for four hours. Fees is Rs 3570/-(Fees- Rs 3000/- + GST Rs 540/- + Flood Cess Rs 30/- )
m) National Talent Search Examination ( NTSE )
National Talent Search Examination is an all India competitive examination for students of the 10th standard. It is conducted as two stages 1. Preliminary Examination (conducted by SCERT in November), and 2. Final Examination (conducted by NCERT in May). Those who pass the NTSC examination are entitled to receive a monthly scholarship , which at present is Rs 1200/- per month for +1 and +2 classes and Rs 2250/- per month for under graduate classes and much higher amount for post graduate classes and for Research. Classes will commence in April and will end in October (forPrelims) and resume for the Mains immediately after the results of the Prelims results are announced. Fees for the course is Rs 5950/- (Fees Rs 5000/- + GST Rs 900/- +Flood Cess Rs 50/-)
n) Vacation Classes
Every year the Academy and its sub centres conduct one month’s crash courses for TDC and Civil Service Foundation Courses. The courses begin in the first week of April and end in the first week of May. The fees for this course is Rs. 1180 (Fees Rs. 1000/- + GST Rs. 180/-).
